This Privacy Policy describes how CloudCut ("CloudCut," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the CloudCut web application available at app.cloudcut.cam and any related services, integrations, and documentation (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly.
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), company name, and other details you provide when registering or updating your profile.
- Payment information: if you purchase paid features, our third-party payment processor collects your billing details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- User Content: designs, CAD models, geometry, material definitions, tool libraries, machine and post-processor settings, project names, and generated toolpaths and G-code that you upload to, create in, or export from the Service.
- Communications: messages you send us through support channels, feedback forms, surveys, or email.
Information collected automatically.
- Usage data: features used, actions taken, toolpath and job statistics, session duration, error reports, and timestamps.
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language settings, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.
Information from third parties.
- CAD platform integrations: when you connect a third-party CAD account (for example, SketchUp, Fusion 360, or Onshape) or install CloudCut through a third-party marketplace, we receive information that platform makes available to us, such as your account identifier, email address, and the documents or models you choose to open in CloudCut.
- Authentication providers: if you sign in using a third-party identity provider, we receive the profile information that provider shares with us.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- Process transactions and send billing notices, receipts, and usage or spending alerts;
- Store, process, and generate User Content and Output at your direction;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service;
- Send administrative notices, such as changes to our terms or policies;
- Send product updates, beta invitations, and marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time;
- Monitor and analyze usage, trends, and performance to improve and develop the Service;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our End User License Agreement; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified data from your information and use it for any lawful purpose, provided it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service providers: with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and customer support. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Third-party integrations: with CAD platforms, marketplaces, or other services you choose to connect to the Service, to the extent necessary to provide the integration.
- Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CloudCut, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, in which case your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
- With your consent: for any other purpose you have authorized.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we may retain your information for a reasonable period to complete transactions, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backups, after which it will be deleted or de-identified. Usage data may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form indefinitely.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed password storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly at cloudcutapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, maintain session state, and understand how the Service is used. We may use third-party analytics services that set their own cookies. Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings; disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Account information: you can review and update your account information through the Service settings.
- Marketing emails: you can opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email or by contacting us. You will continue to receive transactional and administrative messages.
- User Content: you can delete projects and other User Content through the Service, subject to retention in backups for a limited period.
- Account deletion: you can request deletion of your account by contacting cloudcutapp@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. 8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it. 10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
